The Public Safety Department encompasses Police and Ocean Rescue. Both divisions are committed to community outreach and keeping residents and visitors in Sunny Isles Beach safe. Fire Rescue services are provided by Miami-Dade County.

Officers are in the school, on the streets, in the parks, and always there for you. You will often find them at City events providing important safety tips and programs such as car seat installations, bike helmet fittings, and shred-a-thons.
