AARP Tax Aide: Tax Return Preparation & Filing

AARP Tax Aide is a free tax filing service offered to those with a low to moderate income — income must be under $80,000.  Anyone with an income greater than 80k will not be eligible for this service. Although AARP is geared towards seniors, this year, age is not a requirement. The service will be offered each Monday from 10 AM – 2 PM beginning February 5 through April 15 (excluding presidents’ day 2/19). Reservations are required.

Reservations must be made in person. You can register in person at Gateway Center, 151 Sunny Isles Blvd. or at the Government Center, 18070 Collins Ave.

Registrants will receive an AARP Tax Aide envelope containing instructions and Form 13614-C, which must be completed BEFORE the scheduled appointment.

The following items should be brought with you to your appointment:

• The completed 13614-C form
• Social Security Card
• Photo ID
• Tax Documents
• A snack or reading material, as sometimes the wait can be long.
