Virtual City Commission Workshop: Town Center North District Update

The City of Sunny Isles Beach will hold a City Commission Workshop virtually on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. to provide the City Commission with a status update on the Town Center North District.
The workshop will be held as a VIRTUAL MEETING with elected officials and City staff participating through video conferencing. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the public may not appear at the meeting in person. The virtual meeting will be held on the Zoom platform used by the City Clerk to allow for public comment and participation. Members of the public may join and participate in the meeting by choosing one of the following options:

Public Comments
The public may submit their comments or questions on any item listed on the agenda by submitting a public comment card. All comments and questions will be read and addressed into the record at the meeting. You should receive an email confirming your comments have been received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of completing your comment submission form, please call 305.792.1703. All comments and questions must be received prior to the commencement of the meeting at 4:00 pm. Once the meeting has started, you can speak on an item by joining Zoom and using the “raise hand” feature. Please refer to the Zoom Guide for further instructions.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Florida State Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order No. 20-69 suspending the requirements of Section 112.286, F.S. to have a local government body meet at a specific location and that a quorum be physically present. The Executive Order further allows local government entities to utilize communications media technology, such as telephonic and video conferencing, for local government body meetings.
