Each member of the commission is elected to a four-year term. They are limited to serving two terms.

Regular City Commission meetings are held every third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the David P. Samson Commission Chambers, SIB Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue. The City Commission is made up of a mayor representing the whole city and four city commissioners each representing a specific district in the city.  All members of the commission are elected at-large. Click here to view the current City Commission.
