AARP Tax Aide: Tax Return Preparation & Filing

AARP Tax Aide is a free tax filing service offered to those with a low to moderate income — income must be under $80,000. Anyone with an income greater than 80k will not be eligible for this service. Although AARP is geared towards seniors, this year, age is not a requirement.
Reservations must be made in person and are open to residents AND non-residents. You can register at Gateway Center, 151 Sunny Isles Blvd or at the Government Center, 18070 Collins Ave each Monday from February 5 through April 15 (excluding presidents’ day 2/19) from 10am- 2pm.
Registrants will receive an AARP Tax Aide envelope containing instructions and Form 13614-C, which must be completed BEFORE the scheduled appointment.
The following items should be brought with you to your appointment:
- The completed 13614-C form
- Social Security Card
- Photo ID
- Tax Documents
- A snack or reading material, as sometimes the wait can be long.
This service will take place in the first-floor meeting room of the government center.
