Ride Safe, Wear a Helmet.
(Updated Wednesday, August 3, 2022) – The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department wants to make sure you are riding safely on bicycles and scooters. This requires not only wearing a helmet at all times but also making sure your helmet fits properly.
The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department participates in a free Bicycle Helmet Fitting and Give-Away program that provides children, teens and adults with free properly fitted helmets. You can call the Sandra Block with the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department at 305.792.1839 to make an appointment to be fitted for a free helmet. Helmets will be fitted and given away at the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department, 2nd Floor of the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue.
A limited supply of helmets is available in various sizes. Helmets are available on a first-come-first-served basis. When supplies run out there may be a waiting period until a new shipment arrives.
Parents/legal guardians must accompany children.
