SIBPD AWARDED ACCREDITATION STATUS

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL (October 5, 2023) – The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department (SIBPD) proudly announces its recent accreditation by the Florida Commission for Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA). This significant achievement was officially conferred upon SIBPD on Thursday, October 4 in Fort Myers, FL. The distinguished law enforcement accreditation ensures personnel are current and compliant with the latest law enforcement trends.

In August 2023, a team of independent assessors analyzed all areas of SIBPD, including policies, procedures, operations, and training. The assessment revealed that SIBPD complies with all applicable standards, without any non-compliance issues.

Achieving this accreditation involved adherence to numerous standards, encompassing areas such as patrol operations, traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, conduct and discipline, evidence, and more.
