How long does it take to acquire a local business tax receipt?

Once the applicant has provided the proper documentation, it usually takes about one week. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide city staff with the required applications and documentation in order to obtain their business licenses. Local Business Tax Receipts and Certificates of Use are usually issued within one week of collection of all essential documents and certifications.
