NSE Sunny Isles Beach K-8 says A BIG THANK YOU

By Dr. Annette Weissman, NSE/SIB K-8 School Superintendent

(September 16, 2015) – In August, NSE –SIB K-8 celebrated its 8th Opening of School. In a very short time we have been recognized as an outstanding educational institution that values children, family and community. We could not have earned all the accolades without the support of many hard-working individuals, but today I would like to focus on the Sunny Isles Beach Community School Trust.

From day one this organization has been our partner in building the best teaching and learning facility in Dade County.

While the bricks were being laid and the mortar was drying, the SIB Community Trust was purchasing document cameras and computers for our classrooms. We opened our school with state of the art technology. Every year since then the Trust has invested $25,000 – $30,000 in our school purchasing computer programs, lab furniture, laptops, iPads and so much more. All our students and teachers have access to the newest and best technology available thanks to this organization’s annual allocation of funds.

The organization’s commitment to the education of the SIB and Golden Beach students is unwavering. The faculty of NSE SIB K-8 and the students are able to achieve so much more because of the Trust’s involvement in our school. The members of the Trust are dedicated volunteers representing all aspects of the community, but their goal is singular – to provide NSE SIB K-8 students and staff with the resources they need to maintain high standards of excellence. Our thanks to Mr. Bob Welsh, Chairperson, and Mr. Lew Thaler, Vice Chairperson, and all the board members for their continued involvement and enthusiasm.
