Reflections on the Last Eight Years

By Jeanette Gatto, Commissioner

(Monday, December 3, 2018) – As I look back on the last eight years serving as your City Commissioner, what comes to mind first and foremost are the citizens of this great City. I have some of the nicest, smartest and actively engaged individuals of all ages, and it’s been extremely rewarding to serve you. When I was elected eight years ago, I made a promise to always be available to our residents and ensure that they have a voice. I am proud of the fact that I never missed a Commission Meeting and feel lucky to have met many of you at City events, several of whom have become friends.

I would also like to thank the staff of the City Manager and City Attorney’s offices who do a spectacular job running our City. Additionally, many thanks to our Police Department who help keep our City one of the safest in the County. And lastly, to my incredible colleagues on the Commission who give up a lot of their personal time to serve, I will miss you dearly, but I know you will continue to do exceptional work for our City. Many thanks to all I have met along the way. It was an honor and a great privilege to have served you.
