A Newspaper that Grew with a City

(December 2, 2015) – The City’s first mayor, David Samson and Mr. Dan Palmer came together to build The Sunny Isles Beach Sun back when the City was just a baby. Dan always referred to the relationship as “a unique situation.” As we turned 18 this year, we have grown this paper along with the great sales team at Community Newspapers / Miller Publishing. During the years, the paper has flourished and the City has expanded our communication resources.

The Sunny Isles Beach Sun, just as the City, has grown to stand alone. It has been a great ride with the Miller brothers. We look forward to continuing our relationship in a new format. We will continue to offer great things for them to cover to bring community news to you.
